In 15 years of photographing cars and racing I had somehow never made my way out to Daytona Beach to visit the Speedway, so I was ecstatic to visit the track for the first time earlier this month for the very first Ferrari Finali Mondiali in the United States. It’s been quite a while since my photography has been featured on the cover of a magazine, but this one was worth the wait. The photograph took quite a bit of work to get right, requiring six vehicles to be placed in a relatively small area and waiting for just the right light, but the result was exactly what I was hoping for. You can pick up this special Shelby issue from The Enthusiast Network on just about any newsstand now.
