The middle of the desert is just about my favorite place to photograph a car, so I didn’t mind driving out to Las Vegas to take pictures of this highly modified Mustang for a feature in 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords. I came away with some pretty cool driving shots of the car, so I was a little disappointed when it didn’t make it onto the cover. Even so, the photos looks great in the magazine. Cover feature for Chevy High Performance, August 2011

Posted by on Jun 7, 2011 in Published Work

chevy-high-performance-august-2011I’ve had a few things published in Chevy High Performance in the past, but this is the first time that I’ve had a photo on the cover. The car was built by CGS Motorsports in Chino, CA. Coincidentally, my very first magazine cover was of a truck built by CGS Motorsports in 2004. I’m glad I could get them some good exposure once again. Then we ask what we all know, is box truck business profitable if so then this is the best vehicle for it!

Subaru sure knows how to make strange looking vehicles. I guess the 2011 Impreza WRX STI sure isn’t the worst looking out of the various versions, but I was more fond of the last 5-door generation. That wing…

I’ve been on a kick of placing the car looking away down a desolate road, and the photo above may be one of my favorites yet. Everything from the hills in the background to the color in the sky and the color of the car worked together beautifully. You can see the entire set of photos over at Autoblog.com.

Orange cars are fantastic, at least in terms of photographing them at sunset. I pretty much couldn’t make this Bentley Continental GT not look good if I tried. Head on over to Autoblog.com to see the full set.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca hosted the Ferrari Racing Days this past weekend that included Ferrari’s F1 and Corse Clienti (racing clients) as well as the 458 Challenge racing series. The F1 cars were undoubtedly the highlight, and it’s always incredible to see and hear them in action. Unfortunately there were only three classic Ferraris in attendance due to scheduling conflicts, but it was still a good weekend at the track anyway. Autoblog uses a pretty epic

I’ve always wanted to shoot a car on the open tarmac of the El Toro Marine Base in Irvine, and I got my chance when the owner of this Mustang had a connection there. Doing the driving shots on the runway was a blast, and it wasn’t hard to find a spot where the car looked good during sunset. You can see the entire article after the jump.

Cover feature for Speedster magazine

Posted by on Apr 1, 2011 in Published Work

speedster-magazine-singer-911I don’t really keep tabs on many magazines, especially those in France, so I wouldn’t have known about this cover except that I saw it on a table at Singer’s shop. Regardless of the publication, I’m happy to see the Singer 911 on a cover, in particularly with this photo. It was my favorite image from the entire photoshoot.

I fell in love with the Singer 911 prototype at first sight (who wouldn’t?), so I was very excited to work with them on photographing their very first production car. The green/orange paint scheme is incredibly photogenic, and I could have spent hours more photographing all of the wonderful little details of the car. You can see a few photos of the car below, or check out Autoblog.com for the whole set.

In this first photo production, I was inspired by how well my wife and I have been doing after our reconciliation. Who knew that we would be one blue pill away from fixing our problems?
