2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI photos featured on Autoblog.com
Last month I picked up the Autoblog.com long-term 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. The car is in Autoblog’s possession for the next six months or so, and it had just arrived from Detroit. I was not only tasked with photographing the car, but it would be my ride up to the Monterey car week. I love the diesel engine in the car – it provided the fuel economy of a Prius while delivering the driving experience of a normal car – and I only had to fill up once the entire week. I didn’t love the interior, however. The seats were made from a fake leather that felt terrible to the touch, and many of the materials in the car felt cheap. The diesel engine just about makes up for it, though.

Cover feature for November 2011 issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords
Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords just released their November 2011 issue, and one of my photos of editor Evan Smith driving a Shelby GT500 at this year’s Spectre 341 Challenge is on the cover. Honestly, it’s not the best photo, but it looks good on the front of the magazine.
Featured in October 2011 issue of Modified Mustangs & Fords
This was one of my favorite cars I’ve photographed this year. The car is REALLY cool – a 1969 Mustang fastback built by Agent 47 with a modern suspension and engine and finished in a matte black paint. Matte paint always photographs very well, and the stormy sky during the evening of the photoshoot provided a perfect setting for the car nicknamed “Harbinger”. The car was featured in the October 2011 issue of Modified Mustangs & Fords, although sadly it wasn’t used for the cover. You can see the entire article below.
Jaguar C-X16 Concept live from Frankfurt
I’m at the Frankfurt Motor Show this week, and while things don’t officially kick off until tomorrow, I got started early at the reveal of the Jaguar C-X16 Concept at a private party at the Palais Thurn und Taxis. The picture above was by far my favorite, but you can see the rest over at Autoblog.com.
Most people wonder what the big deal is with car shows and what is so good about them. The answer is cars and more cars, the car shows are not just about cars getting together to show off what they have, I mean that is the point of the car show but that isn’t the only thing that goes on at a car show with the best decoration such as table covers wholesale which are great for the whole event. If you have ever been to a car show or an NOPI event then you know what goes on. You have a best car in show, best looking car, most customized, best restored, since people now a days use services as Car Wrapping Kent to personalize their cars and make it look better. You have all kinds of places to win an award. They even have bikini contest at most car shows and that is the best part of the whole car show. For that person that is bringing their car to the show it is a day that they will never forget if it is their first time entering a car show. They will enter their car and then be able to park it, detail it a little more since they drove it to the show and then just clean it up just a little bit before the judging begins. |
Roush RS3 photos featured on Autoblog.com
I photographed this 2012 Roush RS3 Mustang back in April, and the photos have finally been published. I happened to also write the review, so head over to Autoblog.com to find out more about the car and to see the pictures.
Cover feature for Chevy High Performance, November 2011
The November 2011 issue of Chevy High Performance hit newsstands today, and my photo of a Hennessey HPE650 Camaro Convertible was featured on the cover. There is also a nice four page spread inside, although you’ll have to go pick up the magazine in person to see it.

Car: 2011 Hennessey HPE650 Camaro Convertible
Featured in October 2011 issue of Chevy High Performance
Taking a break from my usual appearance in Mustang magazines, I had some photos published in the October 2011 issue of Chevy High Performance. I was really hoping this car, a Tjin Edition 2010 Chevrolet Camaro owned by Gene Tjin, would be a cover, but unfortunately it was relegated to a mere feature. Even so, I thought the article and the photos turned out great. You can see the entire article below.
Audi A7 vs Mercedes-Benz CLS photos on Autoblog.com
Both the Mercedes-Benz CLS and the Audi A7 are both “four-door coupes” and perhaps the most attractive car that each company makes, so a comparison is inevitable. Autoblog recently put the two to the test, featuring my photography. You can see the photos here.
Ferrari 250 GTO gathering at Pebble Beach
While I was somewhat disappointed with the Ferrari 250 GTO showing at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion, the collection of cars at Pebble Beach was simply stunning. No less than 21 examples were in attendance, representing more than half of the 250 GTO population. With each worth approximately $25 million, the line up was worth more than half a billion dollars.
You can see some photos from the historic gathering in the gallery below, or head over to Autoblog.com to see the whole set.
2011 Pebble Beach Concours ‘Best of Show’
The winner of the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours has been announced – a 1934 Voisin C-25 Aerodyne owned by Peter Mullin, and of course, I was there to capture the celebration. You can see more photos and read about the car over at Autoblog.com.
