Hennessey Venom GT top speed record photos released

The news broke this week that the Hennessey Venom GT hit 270.49 mph at the Kennessey Space Center earlier this month, and I’m proud to say I was there to document the occasion. Last week I headed out to Houston Texas for yet another very cool project for Hennessey Performance Engineering. A new toll road was opening up near their shop, and the wonderful state of Texas was letting the company let loose on the fresh tarmac with a modified Corvette Stingray. The result is the world’s first Corvette Stingray to top 200 mph. The photos have been published on a multitude of web sites:

Earlier this month I headed out to Houston, Texas to photograph the Hennessey Venom GT try and break the record for the fastest 0-300 km/h time. Needless to say, the boys over at Hennessey smashed the current time set by Koenigsegg by a good margin. You can see my photos as part of Hennessey’s official press release.

Last month I headed out to Austin, TX for the opening of the 85 mph toll road just south of the city. The reason? To photograph Hennessey Performance drive their Cadillac VR1200 as fast as they could the day on the road the day before it opened (they reached 220 mph). The photos have now been released in the latest issue of Top Gear Magazine.
